There is a lot going on at the CELC from developmental screening days for 3-5 year olds to Week of the Young Child.
Check our event calendar frequently. We hope to see you and your family soon!
The Appleton Area School District offers FREE Developmental Screenings for children ages 3 to 5 who are not enrolled in 5-year-old kindergarten AND who reside within the Appleton Area School District.
UPDATE: Due to state-mandated school closures 3-5-year-old developmental screenings have been cancelled. At this time, we are uncertain when screenings will resume. We will keep the district page updated as to when screenings will continue, and will send out information regarding screenings that will take place when we are back in session. We are available to support, provide information or respond to questions. If you have questions about the 3-5-year-old developmental screenings, please contact the Screening Coordinator by email email@example.com

Parent Connection – Managing Meltdowns
Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 6 PM – 8 PM
This one-night LIVE ON-LINE workshop is most appropriate for parents/caregivers of children 5 and younger.
Of all the behavioral problems parents face from their children, meltdowns may be the most upsetting as well as the hardest to manage. Also called tantrums, these outbursts may be the most potent tool kids have when it comes to training their parents to do what the children want. Moms and Dads who have learned to fear tantrums have an extremely difficult time maintaining control of their own homes. This workshop will help parents regain control. We will discuss the three main causes of tantrums, the two goals of tantruming children, and a four-step process for meltdown management.
***If you were previously registered for the April 21st date, there is no need to register again***
Live On-Line Class. Need Internet Access.
